About Me: I am a friendly queer Personal Trainer, Yoga Instructor & Nutritionist with over 10 years of experience, specializing in helping my clients rehab and prevent stubborn pain, while significantly reducing body fat, building and maintaining lean muscle, and improving mobility, mental clarity, and overall quality of life. If that sounds like you, I’d love to talk more about your health goals and aspirations! Feel free to look me up on Google to see more of my reviews, and I look forward to connecting with you! How I Became A Coach: In my childhood and early adolescence I was severely socially anxious, and always felt like an outsider at school and in sports. I had a really hard time feeling accepted by my peers, because being good at sports didn’t come naturally to me. I was a sensitive, artistic kid…I still am! That also meant that I had a natural gift for empathy. I always noticed the other kids who were being left out at recess, and I made it a point to hang out with them and befriend them so they wouldn’t have to feel alone like I did! Fast forward to early high school, and my little group of misfits started working out together. It was in those formative years that my confidence really started to grow. The endorphins from the exercise and the shared experience with my friends, and the improvements to my physical appearance did wonders for my mental health. This continued into my adulthood, and my workout partners always became my best friends, and vice versa. I eventually hired my first personal trainer in my late 20’s, because I was ready to learn more and push myself to the next level. Scott quickly became an invaluable mentor and friend to me, got me looking and feeling the best I ever had, and finally embodying the main character energy in my own life! Not only did he coach me to achieve and exceed my fitness goals, but he offered me an enormous amount of emotional support when my two youngest siblings were diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis. I honestly can’t thank him enough for his guidance and compassion, and we are still good friends over 10 years later. It was in my experience with Scott that I began to understand the larger impact coaches can have on their clients lives, and how I also seemed to have a natural knack for lifting others up! So I set out to get my certifications, and turn my hobby of championing the underdogs into my life’s mission! Working out consistently for so many years now has provided me with so much clarity and fortitude in my own life, giving me structure and solace through life’s ups and down, it’s gotten me through 7+ years of sobriety and counting, it’s given me the tools to heal 12 herniated discs in my back after being hit by a drunk driver, and most of all it has given me lifelong friendships and a passion that cannot be replaced!
